FoodyBazar Billing Policy

This Billing Policy explains the billing responsibilities of Foody Bazar Pvt. Ltd. ("FoodyBazar", "we", "us"), our partner restaurants, and customers using the FoodyBazar platform.

1. FoodyBazar's Role FoodyBazar operates as a food delivery and technology/platform service provider. FoodyBazar facilitates food ordering, delivery, payment collection, and related services between customers and partner restaurants. FoodyBazar does not directly prepare, manufacture, or sell the food items offered by partner restaurants. The respective restaurant is responsible for preparing and supplying the food ordered by the customer.

2. Food Bill The restaurant is responsible for issuing the food bill/invoice for the food purchased by the customer. The food bill should be issued by the respective restaurant and should identify the restaurant as the seller of the food. FoodyBazar does not issue the restaurant's food bill and does not replace the restaurant's food bill. Customers are required to request and collect the restaurant's food bill on the same date as the order. Customers may obtain the restaurant food bill in either of the following ways: Through the FoodyBazar delivery process: The customer may request the FoodyBazar rider/delivery personnel to collect the restaurant's food bill and deliver it along with the food order. Directly from the restaurant: The customer may request and collect the food bill directly from the restaurant when receiving the order. Customers are strongly advised to check that they have received the restaurant's food bill before or at the time of receiving the food and to retain it for their records.

3. FoodyBazar Service Bill FoodyBazar may issue a separate bill/receipt for services and charges provided by FoodyBazar. These may include, where applicable: Delivery charges Handling charges Platform/service charges Other applicable FoodyBazar service charges The FoodyBazar service bill relates only to the services or charges provided by FoodyBazar and does not represent the sale of the restaurant's food. Customers should obtain and retain the FoodyBazar service bill on the same date as the order/service.

5. Payment Collection at Delivery FoodyBazar currently does not offer online/pre-payment through the app or website. Payment is collected at the time of delivery, in one of the following ways:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD): The customer pays the rider in cash upon receiving the order.

  • QR Payment: The customer scans a QR code linked to FoodyBazar's company bank account and transfers the amount at the time of delivery.

In both cases, the rider collects the full order amount — the restaurant's food amount plus FoodyBazar's applicable delivery/service charges — on FoodyBazar's behalf. FoodyBazar subsequently settles the restaurant's applicable food amount with the restaurant according to the agreed settlement process. Collection of the full payment amount by FoodyBazar's rider does not by itself mean that FoodyBazar is the seller of the food. The food bill remains the responsibility of the restaurant, even though the customer pays the total order amount to FoodyBazar at delivery.

6. Restaurant Billing Responsibility Partner restaurants are responsible for: Issuing the required food bill/invoice to the customer. Providing the food bill on the same date as the order. Ensuring that the food bill accurately reflects the food supplied. Maintaining their own invoice and sales records. Including applicable tax information on their invoices where required by law. Providing a copy or duplicate of the original bill where permitted and appropriate if a customer loses the original bill. Restaurants should not issue the food bill in the name of FoodyBazar merely because the customer pays the total amount through FoodyBazar's rider, unless otherwise specifically agreed and legally appropriate.

7. FoodyBazar Billing Responsibility FoodyBazar is responsible for issuing its own applicable bill/receipt for services and charges provided by FoodyBazar. FoodyBazar may maintain records of: Order number Customer payment (COD or QR/bank transfer) Payment method Payment reference (for QR/bank transfers) Restaurant food amount FoodyBazar service/delivery charges Restaurant settlement Applicable service bills and transaction records These records may be maintained electronically or in physical form as applicable.

8. Bills Must Be Collected on the Order Date Customers should collect and retain both applicable bills on the same date as the order: Restaurant Food Bill FoodyBazar Service/Delivery Bill Customers should not wait until a later date to request the applicable bill. This is particularly important where the customer may need to present an original bill or transaction document for verification, promotional programs, government schemes, prize/lottery claims, accounting purposes, or other official purposes. FoodyBazar and/or the restaurant may not be able to issue a new bill for a past date if the customer did not collect the applicable bill at the time of the original transaction. Customers are therefore responsible for requesting and retaining their bills at the time of receiving the order.

9. Lost or Missing Bills If a customer loses or does not receive a bill, the customer should contact the relevant party as soon as possible: Food bill: Contact the respective restaurant. FoodyBazar service bill: Contact FoodyBazar. Where records are available and applicable billing procedures permit, the relevant party may provide a copy or duplicate of the original transaction record. However, a duplicate or copy is not the same as creating a new bill for a past transaction, and customers should not assume that a new or backdated bill can be issued. FoodyBazar does not guarantee the issuance of a new or replacement bill for a past transaction where the original bill was not collected at the time of the order.

10. Billing for COD and QR Payments Paying via Cash on Delivery or QR/bank transfer at the time of delivery does not change the applicable billing responsibilities. For every order, where the rider collects the full amount at delivery:

  • Restaurant → Customer: Restaurant Food Bill

  • FoodyBazar → Customer: FoodyBazar Service/Delivery Bill

  • Customer → FoodyBazar (via rider, in cash or QR transfer): Total applicable payment

  • FoodyBazar → Restaurant: Settlement of the restaurant's applicable amount

Where the restaurant provides the food bill to the FoodyBazar rider, the rider will deliver the bill to the customer together with the food order. Alternatively, the customer may directly request and collect the food bill from the restaurant. Customers should ensure that they receive and retain both applicable bills at the time of delivery.

11. Taxes and Charges FoodyBazar holds a PAN (Permanent Account Number) registration but is not currently registered for Value Added Tax (VAT). Accordingly, FoodyBazar will not separately charge or represent VAT on its service bills unless and until it becomes VAT-registered, at which point this policy will be updated. Restaurants are independently responsible for their applicable taxes, VAT obligations, invoices, and food-sale records.

12. Billing Disputes For issues relating to: Food price Food quantity Food items Restaurant food bill Restaurant tax invoice Food-sale taxes customers should contact the respective restaurant. For issues relating to: Delivery charges Handling charges FoodyBazar platform/service charges FoodyBazar payment records FoodyBazar service bill customers may contact FoodyBazar customer support.

13. Customer Responsibility Customers are responsible for: Requesting the restaurant food bill at the time of receiving the order. Requesting the FoodyBazar service bill where applicable. Checking the bills before completing the transaction/order delivery. Keeping the original bills safely. Providing the applicable bill when required for any official, promotional, government, prize, or other verification process.

14. Changes to This Billing Policy FoodyBazar may update this Billing Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, billing procedures, tax requirements, or applicable laws. Any updated version will be published through the FoodyBazar website or application with the revised effective date. Customers are encouraged to review the latest version of this Billing Policy periodicall
